Author of ECHOUTCOME project, Ariel Béresniak is CEO of Data Mining International, an independant research agency specialized in advanced statistics and modelling in the field of health. Ariel Beresniak is MD specialised in public healthcare and social medicine, hold a master in Economics and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics in Economics. He previously worked more than 10 years in Health Economics research in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ariel Béresniak is Accredited to Supervise Research (HDR) at the LIRAES (Interdisciplinary laboratory of applied research in Health Economics) in Paris-Descartes University. Dr. Béresniak is also expert-consultant in modelling for the World Health Organization (WHO) and vice-president of the French Society of Health Economics (SFES). In addition of a number of scientific publications, Ariel Beresniak has published key referenced books in Methodology and Health Economics in France (Health Economics- Masson Elsevier; Dictionary of Health Economics - Masson Elsevier, Understanding Pharmacoeconomics - John Libbey, Dictionary of terms used in health industries - Flammarion) , Portugal (Health Economics - Climepsi) , Spain (Dictionary of Health Economics - Masson) and Japan (Pharmacoeconomics, Elsevier).

Main tasks in the project
Operational project manager of the ECHOUTCOME project, Data Mining International will enssure that the project will reach the objective of total success and will make available to the scientific community and Decision makers original and innovative information. In addition, Data Mining International will act as WP3 leader.
Organization
Data Mining International is a Swiss SME specialized in advanced statistical analyses in Life Sciences. Data Mining International belong to the BioAlps research network and is a unique Hub of expertise which has developed a number of innovation assessment using modeling techniques.
Data Mining International uses and develops numerous tailor-made techniques in health technology and public health assessments. Main skills include cluster analyses, multi-criteria analyses, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness models, Epidemic dynamic models.
Various collaborations have been implemented with academic sector and international organizations such as WHO.

Experience and excellence fields
Data Mining International has applied its expertise in various health projects including advanced models in Reproductive Health, Chronic diseases, Neurology, Cardiology and Epidemic Diseases. Data Mining has developed closed collaborations with the World Health Organization to develop unique tools in Risk Assessment of Epidemic diseases. For this purpose, Data Mining International has developed a robust risk assessment approach which is currently used by WHO for epidemic alert and responses programs in Yellow Fever, Meningitis and Avian Flue.
